Windows 8 / 8.1: install a new font

To make your texts original and personalize, you want to install a new font on your computer. This tutorial explains where to find a new one make and how set it up on a computer running Windows 8 / 8.1. The typeface is the computer equivalent of typography or calligraphy.

Install new typography on Windows 8 and 8.1

1. Download a font (font) that you like, for example on DaFont.com.

2. Open downloaded file (usually a .zip), for example there are several files: .OTF and .TTF, or OpenType and TrueType, two “vector digital font” formats. The accompanying text files are useless for our manipulation.
