Windows 7: burn an ISO file

For burn an ISO file like a bootable CD, a video game or an operating system installation (Linux, Windows), no special software is needed since Windows 7 can handle that.

This tutorial applies to all versions of Windows 7, Home Edition (Home) and Professional.

Burn ISO file with Windows 7

1. Insert blank disc (CDR, CDRW, DVDR, DVDRW) in the drive.

2. Make a right click on the ISO file, Open with, Windows Disc Image Burner.

3. For those with multiple CD / DVD drives, make sure the burner is selected.

4. Click on the button Engrave.

5. If the disc is rewritable and already in use, a message will ask you to erase it before starting to burn.
