The regulars who opened the tool Windows Update from the Start menu or Control panel are left without an icon for accessing Windows updates. Access to Windows Update on Windows 10 is via the Settings, the new Control Panel interface. A little confusing at first but it’s easy to find your way around, in this new configuration of Parameters where everything is sorted by categories.
Note that Windows updates are done automatically, it is not necessary to launch Windows Update manually to download and install the patches. There is at least 1 update per month (Cumulative Update) and around 2 major updates per year (upgrading the version of Windows). Everything is done automatically and securely.
Open Windows Update on Windows 10
1. Open the start menu and click on the cogwheel from Settings.
2. Click on Update and security.
3. The tab Windows Update provides access to pending updates for Windows 10 and Microsoft software (Office pack, for example). Updates are listed, downloaded and installed.
4. If necessary, a message will indicate that the computer must be restarted to apply these updates.
