Xiaomi 12 official: compact smartphone with fastest processor
We already knew that the Xiaomi 12 would be unveiled this week and now the device has been officially unveiled. The successor to the Mi 11 is very clearly distinguished by its size. The smartphone has a 6.28 inch amoled screen, which is relatively compact. Most Android devices today have a 6.5 inch or larger screen. The display also has a full-hd resolution and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. According to the Chinese manufacturer, the Xiaomi 12 is more compact than the iPhone 13 and with 180 grams is not too heavy either. The compact housing should make it easier to operate the phone with one hand.

‘Leaked renders from Oppo Find X4 Pro show separate camera design’
The Chinese Oppo, like all other manufacturers, is working on a new smartphone lineup for 2022. Renders of the Oppo Find X4 Pro – or Find X5 Pro, as number 4 is an unlucky number in China – appeared on the Twitter account of the well-known liqueur OnLeaks. The renders are particularly noticeable due to the special camera design. The island in which the lenses are located is not square or rectangular, as is the case with most smartphones. At the bottom, the camera module slopes. This gives the smartphone a recognizable design. Furthermore, the device is quite similar to its predecessor, the Oppo Find X3 Pro.

Why phone brands like Xiaomi and Oppo are going to make cars
The future of cars lies in electric driving. To move from petrol pump to charging station, the industry invests many billions. Phone companies like Xiaomi, Samsung and Oppo are also making a buck in the bag, even though this may seem like a strange combination at first glance. After all, what does a telephone maker know about cars? Here is an overview of telephone brands that will (also) make cars in the coming years, and why they do this. Because we’re an Android website, we’re ignoring the mysterious Apple Car.

“New renders and video of OnePlus 10 Pro leaked, January 11”
The announcement of the OnePlus 10 Pro is getting closer and closer. New renders and a video from the top device show a sleek smartphone with a striking camera system. The leaked renders and the video are from the Chinese Weibo. Details about new smartphones are leaked here at an early stage. The OnePlus 10 Pro, like its predecessor, the OnePlus 9 Pro, seems to focus on camera quality. The lenses of the 10 Pro look impressive and have grown significantly. Also noteworthy is the flash, which was tightly removed by OnePlus. The manufacturer redesigned the camera system in collaboration with Hasselblad.

These Xiaomi smartphones get an Android 12 update
Google released Android 12 in October, and since then, more and more brands are rolling out device updates. Nokia, Samsung, OnePlus and Asus, among others, are already distributing Android 12 among their (more expensive) devices. Xiaomi will launch it in the first quarter of 2022, according to a blog post. The manufacturer also releases a list of smartphones that basically get Android 12. We deliberately call this ‘in principle’, because Xiaomi says that the list may change. In addition, the overview is not complete: according to Xiaomi, “remaining” smartphones “will receive an update” later “. What devices the brand is talking about remains unclear at this time.
