Install the latest version of Windows, version 11, on your Mac. Is that actually possible?
Not at the moment no. But something is in the pipeline. Windows 10 has been available on your Mac in multiple ways for years. Via Bootcamp if you have an Intel processor, or via Parallels if you have an M1 chipset. So what about Windows 11 on a Mac, which comes out later this year?
Windows 11 on your Mac
Parallels has indeed confirmed that it is developing Windows 11 for the Mac. iMore will inform you about this. However, it is still unclear when you can actually install the latest version of Windows on your Apple computer. Even an indication of a possible launch is not forthcoming. Presumably, Windows 11 will first appear for the PC. Only at a later time, perhaps in 2022, on the Mac. If you are in a hurry with the switch, then you have no choice but to wait patiently.
Windows on Mac has become less obvious anyway. Parallels works fine, but Bootcamp is and remains the easiest application. However, there is no ARM Windows version that is compatible with Bootcamp. And as far as we know, Microsoft is in no rush to release such a version that makes it possible to install Windows via Bootcamp on an M1 Mac. Its a shame, but there is nothing to do about it.
