I share a lot of YouTube videos with my friends and most of them are tutorials or long music lessons for concerts. So, instead of sharing the entire video, I can simply use YouTube’s timestamp feature to share the exact time from where I want the other party to start watching the video. We have already talked about how to share timestamp of your YouTube videos without installing any third party app. However, this process requires a little work. So, here is a simpler method that allows you to easily share YouTube videos with timestamp using third-party Andriod app.
Share YouTube videos with timestamp
For this method, we will be using a third-party Android app, called Tube Notes. It is a simple, easy to use app and it comes for free. Once the app is downloaded and installed automatically, open the app from the main menu. The next step is to log in. You can either use your email, your phone number or the simplest way is by connecting your Google account with the app.
Now that you are logged in, you will see the home page of the application. Like I said, it’s a simple app, so you won’t have a lot of icons or buttons on the home screen. You have a plus sign (+), where you can add YouTube links and a user sign that tells you which account you used to sign in. The same tab has the option to sign out as well.
There are two ways to add timestamp to a YouTube video using the app. The first is by clicking on the plus sign (+) at the top of the application.
On the new page, you can paste the video URL, if you have already copied it. Else, open the YouTube app and copy the link to clipboard using the Share. Then paste it into the URL box in the app.
Let’s move on to the easiest part, i.e. giving it a timestamp. You can do this using the time box, just below the box where you copied the URL. As you can see, you have a setting for hours, minutes, and seconds. You can scroll these details up and down to change the value. When you set the required timestamp where you want to share your YouTube video you can click save at the bottom.
This way, you will be able to save the video with the timestamp as displayed within the app.
You can also click on “to shareIf you don’t want to save the video with timestamp in the app and want to share it instantly in other apps. The third option is Save and add more Which saves the video and stays on the URL page so you can add more links.
The second method is to share the video with Tube Notes app instantly. It’s very easy and works well when you find a fun video that you want to share with your friends right away starting from a certain point. For example, if you are watching a YouTube video, you can simply click on the share icon and select Tube Notes from the share page screen. That’s it, for the rest, you can follow the same method I mentioned before.
Add notes when sharing a video
If you notice another option is below the URL link. Don’t get confused, this is a very useful feature that you need to use when you want to talk or add a comment to what you are sharing with your friends and family. For example, if you’re attending a concert, you could add a note that says, listen closely to the guitar section, sing, etc.
The app is free and does not come with any ads that bother you while using it.
If you often save the video before sharing it, all the videos will be shown on the homepage of the app along with the specified timestamp. So you can watch them at any time, moreover, you have a database of videos that makes it easy to share them later.

So this was the easiest way to share YouTube videos with timestamp easily. I especially like the feedback feature that allows me to add additional comments to the videos I share, so my friends can pay special attention to a specific part of the video. I hope you enjoyed reading this article and using this method frequently now to bring out what you really like in any video you watch.
