How to Migrate from Windows 10 to Windows 11 for Free

Hear about Windows 11? It’s normal it is available since 5 October 2021.

Not all computers will be able to benefit from the new system as of October 5. Updates will spread over time

However here is a way to force the update to migrate from Windows 10 to Windows 11 for free.

Windows 11 is free?

Yes Windows 11 is free, we find the same system as for switch from Windows 7 to Windows 10

Your Windows 10 key allows you to migrate to Windows 11 for free!

Microsoft’s goal is to have a fairly large fleet with this system.

Warning ! Some computers will not be able to migrate to Windows 11 if they are too old or if they do not meet the prerequisites. The data is rather hazy on Microsoft’s side. In my opinion there will be adjustments in the coming weeks.

Migrate from Windows 10 to Windows 11

Step 1 – Download Windows 11 ISO

By experiment migration goes better if we go through Microsoft’s official ISO.

Other solutions are possible with Windows Update but I find it less practical …

To download Windows 11 go to our special page ISO Windows 11

Windows 11 is brand new, it is not recommended to install it in production

Once downloaded we will “mount” the iso to use the setup.exe

Step 2 – Windows Migration Assistant

We are going to use the Windows Migration Assistant which makes migrating from Windows 10 to Windows 11 much easier.

Double-click on the setup.exe

Now you have to wait for your computer to restart, you will be on Windows 11!

It seems that there is a blur at the level of Windows 11 prerequisites, some PCs, however not compatible because of the processor but having a TPM 2.1 chip, have nevertheless succeeded in migrate from Windows to Windows 11.
