The Mail app on Mac supports the ability to add multiple accounts to separate inboxes, but you can’t add new accounts directly from the app’s settings. To change accounts, you will need to use System Preferences.

The second level of security on your account with 2FA requires not only that you know one thing (the password), but also that you own something, like your phone. This makes it difficult for anyone to hack your account.
