ImgBurn is an efficient, no-frills tool that does exactly what is asked of it. Only a French translation is missing for the latest version of the software. To discover !
Why add ImgBurn to its toolkit?
To burn a disk image, like the ISO of a Linux distribution, many free solutions exist such as the very simple ImgBurn. The latter offers many tools to create and burn disc images on CD or DVD. It will be useful for burning old video games, Linux distributions and some audio CDs.
The interface is reduced to the strict minimum: the user can thus choose to burn a disc image on a CD or a DVD, to verify the integrity of a disc or then to design a disc image from files and folders.
Before proceeding to the burning, it is possible to set several options such as the burning speed, the number of copies as well as the verification and the formatting of the disc.
ImgBurn supports the main image formats: ISO, of course, but also IMG, BIN or LST are managed by the software. It supports burning CDs, DVDs and Blu-Ray discs.
What about its interface?
In terms of ergonomics, ImgBurn is easy to learn and available in French via a translation available on the publisher’s website.
